Metzler Park

Drive up to Estacada
Along Springwater Road
Then wind down into Metzler
To a forest glorious and old

A creek runs through Metzler Park
Clear and crystal clean
Ferns, trees, and vines cover both banks
A setting most serene

Once you get your camp set up
Get ready to explore
Wade in the shallows ‘neath the bridge
Catch crawdads from the shore

Sit and listen to the water
Rush rapid over boulders
Close your eyes, hear song birds sing
Breath deep, relax your shoulders

When you’re ready to stretch your legs
Pick a hiking trail
Be amazed by all the colors and shapes
God’s creation will unveil

So come with me to Metzler Park
Break from life’s busy foray
Come join me in my happy place
It’s not that far away!
