Mysteries Of The Universe

Ancient mysteries scrawled on random rocks
Shadows emerging from deep Scottish lochs

What does it mean? How did it get there?
Why does my head start to lose all of its hair?

The mysteries of the universe will be revealed
In Heaven to those who have revealed

Their need for forgiveness and a grace that saves
And freedom from self-centric ways that enslave

The captivity of flesh tends to increase
Unless we surrender to the One who will bring peace

Those who accept Jesus Christ understand
The meaning of life and the number of sand

Is going to be given to us in the spirit
So death is no biggie, we don’t have to fear it

We’ve got Heaven to hope for, much better than this life
So vaporous and fleeting, so full of strife

What do you hope for and how will you get there?
When you pass away are you the eternal King’s heir?

He grants me forever and throws in no sorrow
So I give Him my life and don’t fret tomorrow

What I don’t understand doesn’t matter to this man
Because I follow the God who created the plan

He’ll give me the answers I need in due season
Until then I don’t mind the things I can’t reason.
